About this indicator
This is an average Grade 5 mathematics score on a standardised 0 to 500 scale from a national sample-based assessment, so it gauges what children actually know rather than whether they passed. Because assessment rounds differ in design and timing and rest on samples, scores are best read as broad signals of learning strength, not precise or directly year-comparable figures.
